It’s A Girl! | Ally’s Baby Shower

September 3, 2015

I’m going to be an aunt!! How exciting is that?!

2 weeks ago we had a surprise Baby Shower for my sister-in-law, Ally. She received SO many hugs, congratulations, and gifts.

Everyone was anxiously waiting for her to arrive. 😉

Let’s just say everyone was excited to see Ally and my brother when they walked in.

Ally and her mom came up with this idea of having the guests bring books to add to the baby’s “First Library”. Instead of bringing a signed card, they each signed their name in the book, personalizing each one. Such a cute idea! What mom wouldn’t want a bunch of books to read to their precious little one?

Ally’s mom used some of them as decorations on the tables.

They had several personalized “gifts” set up for people to write their names and a “little” note on them.

My favorite 😉

There were so many little details and little personalized touches that were so sweet!!!

So many gifts were given to Ally and the little baby! We love this precious little one so much already!!

This was the coolest gift that was given! The personal touch was so sweet. This’ll definitely be put to good use.

When Ally was opening presents everyone had the opportunity to play bingo. Such a fun way for people to not only watch, but participate in the opening of gifts.

After presents, Ally cut into her “Baby Tandy” ice cream cake!! SO cute!

So much love was showered upon Ally and the baby that day!! It was such a beautiful day celebrating a precious new life. So happy to have been able to see so many familiar faces there, gathering to celebrate with Ally!

Just a few more weeks until this little girl is welcomed into the world!!

So sweet! I love that everyone brought a book instead of a card. As the mother of a 2 year old who loves to read – you can NEVER have enough books! She looks so happy in all these photos – I’m sure she’ll love looking back on these in a few years.

How fun! I love the idea of the messages on the diapers! Totally gonna steal that when we start having kids lol. I’m sure a little encouragement or humor will make the transition to diaper changing a little easier for me. I love all of the books and the way you captured the gifts. This post would make for a sweet photo album!
