You know when you meet someone for the first time you just know something is different about them? That’s how it was for Mackenzie. Something about Dylan drew her to him. She felt this connection that stood out to her that she wanted to know more about. When I met Mackenzie last month for the first time, she told me how her and Dillon met and a little bit about her wedding. From the first hello I instantly knew that Mackenzie and Dillon were going to be a couple that I was going to LOVE working with!

We talked for more than an hour and had some good laughs. One thing that stood out to me the most was how our faith is so important to both of us. Knowing that we are on the same page about faith, makes it that much more amazing connection.

Earlier this month, I went to Dillon & Mackenzie’s  farm, well, potato farm to be exact. I’ve been to multiple farms before but never to a potato farm. Mackenzie & Dillon gave me a little tour of their farm and took me to a potato field where we got this really cute picture!

When I got there I was overwhelmed by how many spots there were to take pictures!! Mackenzie & Dillon made it a bit easier for me though, they had several ideas of spots that they wanted to go to take pictures and really cool props to use. I really appreciated their excitement about their pictures. Since they knew the farm better than I did, they knew exactly where the best spots would be.

I just loved how they had so much fun with their “toys”! ATV’s, Tractors, and a Moped. It made my job that much more exciting!!

One of the shots they wanted to get was of Dillon doing donuts around Mackenzie in a field. So cute!!

My favorite shots of these two are the ones that showed their fun side! I loved seeing them smile and laugh with each other. These pictures really show the kind of relationship and love that these two have.

I have to say the story behind these gloves is so cool!  Dillon used these gloves to  For her birthday she wanted farm gloves since she was soon to be a farmers wife.  When Dillon gave them to her, he had her try them on. Little did she know that inside was the ring. She tried the gloves on, not feeling the ring inside at all!! She took them off and flung her arms around Dillon in a hug – this made Dillon squirm because the ring was still inside of the gloves and he was worried that it would fall out! He then turned to her and said that she forgot something. He took the ring out, got down on one knee, and popped the question. For the pictures, Mackenzie wrote “Will You Marry Me?” on it. Seriously, this girl just gets the little details and knew that it would make a perfect prop for the ring shot! 🙂

After the fun shots, Mackenzie and Dillon changed into more romantic clothes that were perfect for the evening pictures.

Another idea that Dillon & Mackenzie had, was to get a picture with them surrounded by cows in the pasture…I mean come on, HOW COOL IS THAT!!! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect farm shot. The cows were REALLY cooperative and were perfect at posing haha Thanks to Dillon, the way we got the cows to surround them, was by throwing cow grain all around so that the cows would begin to surround them.

Seriously, this evening light was breathtaking!!! Of course I had to snag a few shots of Mackenzie alone because she was just stunning.

 

I can not wait for their March wedding next year!! A country themed wedding?! Yes please ! 🙂
