Sarah + Shaw // Philadelphia Art Museum

When Sarah contacted me about taking her and Shaw’s 1 year wedding anniversary pictures earlier in October, I immediately got excited at the thought of taking their pictures. Then when she mentioned she wanted to take pictures in Philadelphia – which is a place that means so much to both of them – I definitely knew it was an adventure that I wanted to go on with them! It was my first time in Philadelphia for a photoshoot and I truly believe it is my first of many more to come. We spent the afternoon exploring some very quaint and beautiful places that were beyond perfect for pictures!
Every second spent with these two was so much fun! They have this beautiful love and a bond that makes you want to be around them and to figure out the secret to their special love. The laugher they shared, the smiles they gave each other and the easy way about them made our time together that much more amazing. They were naturals and I didn’t even really have to tell them what to do. They made these beautiful pictures what they are and I was so happy to have been able to capture their love that they have. These pictures capture who they are: two people in love and having fun.
We met at Sarah and Shaw’s home and then made our way over to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which was a short walk from where they lived. When we first got there I was overwhelmed by the many spots to take pictures..I just wanted to go all camera happy and snap away; which I kind of did. 😉
After capturing a TON of pictures of them walking around in love, we made our way back to their house where I was able to capture a few more pictures of them on their street and on their front steps. Sarah and Shaw also were able to get their adorable dog Rosie in some pictures as well.
So happy with this session and how Sarah & Shaw’s pictures turned out! Loved every little bit of it.

These two are so cute! I love the shots of them on the steps with their pup. Having their apartment stoop as a backdrop is such a cute memory!

Awwwh, how sweet! This session looked like a lot of fun! Do you find it hard to shoot in a location that you are not used to?

I have to admit it was a bit nerve racking having never been to the location before I took the pictures, but as I found the more I put myself in those kind of situations the more comfortable I become.
