Outdoor Pennsylvania Backyard Wedding | Kelly & Dave

This wedding made me fall in love with open air, outdoor, backyard weddings!

Last month I was honored to be part of this beautiful backyard wedding in Coatesville PA at Kelly & Dave’s home. I’ve been photographing Dave & Kelly’s family for several years now so I was so happy to finally see these two tie the knot!

After witnessing Kelly & Dave’s wedding, it made me realize that backyard weddings can be just as beautiful as any indoor ballroom weddings. Their wedding was flawless and beautiful: to the exchange of vows under the homemade garden archway, the framed pictures of the two of them, to the twinkling hanging lights.

Dave & Kelly’s wedding was the perfection reflection of who they are as a couple: fun, laid back, beautiful, and all around awesome. You could see it in the way they made each other smile and laugh from across the room, to the way they smashed cake into each other’s faces, and the non-stop dancing with each other. Once the party got started for these two there was no stopping! Immediately following the ceremony there was no holding them back from getting on the dance floor and tearing it up. With a drink in their hands, and each other by their side, they were twirling and dancing the whole evening!

Some of my favorite moments of the day were seeing Dave serenade Kelly with a song by Alison Krauss “When you say nothing at all” and watching Kelly slow dance with her Father. As always with these two, there are so many beautiful moments to be captured.

Congratulations Kelly & Dave! I can’t wait to see what the next few months and years hold for you both and your wonderful family.
